About the postion
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the semi-monthly processing of US Payroll for all US and expatriate employees while ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, and regulatory filing deadlines.
- Prepare the submission and processing of semi-monthly payroll transactions in a multi-state environment for 600+ employees
- Responsible for all daily payroll functions, including new hires, terminations, commissions, bonuses, manual checks, benefit and tax deductions, direct deposits
- Responsible for understanding and ensuring proper taxation of different earnings
- Reconcile and audit various payroll-related activities, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure accuracy prior to processing
- Maintain and improve internal payroll processing controls, policies and procedures
- Prepare annual W-2 and ACA reporting to support all required filings in a timely manner
- Compile payroll data to create reports for both internal and external purposes
- Assist with internal audits and manage remediation
- Responsible for maintaining absolute confidentiality of employee personal
What we expect from you
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local wage laws
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles as related to payroll processing
- Prepare payroll journal entries
Reconcile payroll related GL accounts - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Microsoft products, such as Power Point, Outlook, Word, etc
- Advanced use of Excel
