Hitachi Solutions’ Jeff Winter Elected to ISA Executive Board

As a huge proponent of smart manufacturing, Hitachi Solutions is proud to announce our senior director of industry strategy for manufacturing, Jeff Winter, has been elected to the International Society of Automation (ISA) Executive Board. Officially taking office January 1, 2024, it’s a prestigious three-year position that includes helping set the society’s strategic direction, advancing their objectives, as well as fiduciary responsibilities.
ISA is a globally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the development and application of automation technologies. With a mission to foster innovation, education, and collaboration, ISA provides a platform for professionals to exchange knowledge, best practices, and cutting-edge solutions. Through conferences, training programs, publications, and networking opportunities, ISA plays a crucial role in shaping the future of automation and ensuring its members stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
Before being tapped for the executive board nomination, Jeff was an active participant in ISA for the past six years, holding several division leadership positions and committee chairmanships. Most recently he was ISA’s Smart Manufacturing and IIoT (SMIIoT) Division Director. In that role, Jeff headed the division, where he most notably grew membership to nearly 4,000 in a few years, established eight technical subcommittees, and led the development of more than 60 publications — including creating an entire issue of ISA’s InTech magazine.
In 2023, Jeff was recognized for his many contributions as SMIIoT director, receiving the Excellence in Division Leadership Award at the annual conference.
