Microsoft has removed the guess work, measuring performance through a holistic partner capability score calculated based on technical capabilities and other factors.

What does this really mean for customers?

Attainment of any of the available six Microsoft Solution Designations helps a customer understand a partner’s capabilities better and supports easier identification of the partners best suited for their business.  Microsoft has simplified their partner program, now aligned to six solution areas across the Microsoft Cloud, by where a partner can demonstrate their organization’s capability in delivering customer success grounded on deep technical skilling and validated enablement capabilities.

Microsoft Specializations

Our Hitachi Solutions team is leveraging our Microsoft Specialization (formerly Advanced Specializations) achievements to differentiate our capabilities to customers. Validation of the depth of our expertise means we’re better equipped to support our customers successfully execute their transformation initiatives.  Aligned to the Microsoft Cloud, specializations build on the new Partner Solution Designations and further display a partner’s technical expertise.

To earn a specialization, a partner must fulfill demanding requirements, such as obtaining customer references, undergoing a third-party audit, proving attainment of a relevant skill set, and meeting additional performance measurements. By meeting these strict requirements, partners can then validate their deep knowledge, extensive experience, and proven success at delivering tailored, customer solutions for areas of high customer demand and relevance.
