Read the BlogWhen joining a new company, you hear a lot about corporate pillars and culture. I have to say, I continue to experience that at Hitachi Solutions these are not just talk-tracks. Diversity, inclusion, ethics, and integrity are all woven into the tapestry of who we are as a company and how we operate.
With the characterization of “a healthy mix of curious, fun, and get it done” used to describe the inherent culture of our company, how can you not feel the spirit of our team within those words? Then, add in how we embrace social responsibility and ensure we give back to local communities (read about our latest initiative here). Each week I’m seeing that we truly are a people-first organization, constantly investing in programs that feed our obsession with making our team, clients, and the world around us better.
All of this contributes to our presence on the global stage as a recognized and respected company with very high standards. In fact, I just learned that October is Hitachi Solutions’ Global Ethics and Compliance Month. I received an internal communication reminding our team about the importance of this initiative and it really resonated with me about who Hitachi Solutions is, at our core.
Hitachi Solutions strives to be a trusted advisor for our clients, trusted business partner, and trusted employer. While we have built this high level of trust, we have to continue to earn it — we can’t rest on past laurels. This is why, every year in October, all our employees complete a mandatory training around our corporate code of ethics and compliance.
Not only does this deepen everyone’s understanding of our high standards, it also reinforces the laws and rules that govern us. We want to ensure everyone across the team remains committed to our policy that “Right and Wrong is more important than Profit and Loss.”
As a new company leader, adherence to this policy — and such dedication to morals and ethics — is inspirational to me. It means we are all on the same page with wanting to “win the right way” and always serving our clients with honesty and integrity.
